When I started this I made the decision to do British. What with doing re-enacting as well I know have a humungous pile of British kit.

I'll do pretty much any uniform... as long as its British.

If forced I would do Russian... but under duress.

I won't be doing German, Yank or Jap!

I`ve toyed with the idea of putting together a rough U.S. or Brit outfit, but I`m also drawn to the partisan idea, I`ve got a few bits but could do with a Thompson.
This would make it a more flexible choice when it came to booking onto an event....if one side was full I wouldn`t have to run around like a headless chicken trying to get gear.
I`d like to stick with my FJ setup but wouldn`t mind changing sides to fill numbers.
The beauty of WW2 airsoft as opposed to reenactment is that as long as the basic impression is there its possible to get away with it, without getting pecked at by the stitch counters and without it costing a fortune. :)

Yank primarily. Loved playing Dutch resistance. Will do any side or theatre if I can borrow the kit as I can't afford to purchase anymore.

Indeed, you may see me looking distinctly Teutonic at the next CiA event. ;)

Now this is a tricky one for me... I have a simply German loadout and a complete US loadout that includes everything imagineable. from a US field office, over a dozen K-ration crates, military WW2 toothbrush, books, footlocker, original camp bed. In fact I can put up quite an impressive display on my own and have done.

So my choice of kit would be to play as Yank as I can really tailor my kit to suite my needs. Yet when I played with the Germans at Arnheim, there team work was fantastic and there was a good team spirit, everyone communicated really well. Very different to the Allies at CR :( (im not moaning again, honest) Theres just something with the Germans and I really cant put my finger on it?

So at the moment, I want to play on the German side in US kit? Does that help?

One of Skorzeny's Brandenburgers - you'll end up getting shot as a spy!

The Allies at Arnhem were very organised, particularly the Dutch. Something just went very wrong at CR.

Allies only for me, I couldn't bring myself to don German kit, although it does look splendid!

I go by whatever looks good in war films, after watching 'The Big Red 1' I got US 1st Infantry gear, after watching BoB I got Paratrooper gear (when I first did ww2 about 3 years ago) and after watching Windtalkers and Flags of our Fathers I got USMC Gear.

I have enough US webbing to cover all 3 sets of gear, although its all still wet and muddy slung up to dry from the weekend!

Also got the Brit kit for Arnhem, would probably do Ruskie too, although I would want to have the weapon to make the look good, roll on the (cheaper) mosignant (?sp) and a PPSH! :)

I like ww2, and I have kit for most UK/US/German Stuff but I need to lose a few pounds to get into my german kit so for the time being it is allied for me.

see it could have been worse I scalped all my sindy's so they had a crew cut and let them ride around in my brothers action man tank  and ran all of them over irrespective of side, I wasn't biased then and I ain't now get in my way and well ya know

Am seriously thinking of putting resistance outfit together tho, I even have a sewing pattern just incase  NO ITS NOT a ruddy dirndl

As for brit side I don't think I personally could ever do it and quite possibly a lot of that is to do with being a gurlie (bet ya didn't realise that at the weekend  I really feel I would be, as a female I think more than anything, be doing a dishonour to my grandad who is still alive and served his time in the Army (albeit a large chunk in the place formerly known as Palestine) and I really wouldn't want him to think I was taking the michael. Am sure he wouldn't but it just doesn't feel "right" for me to do that portrayal, he knows we've been off playing germans all weekend and never batted an eyelid, but no I just wouldn't feel right doing it.

Yank ... erm no have you seen how uninvisible they are in a wood  I got shot at enough in a zeltbahn nevermind all that mustard colouring, so no for that for now.

Would be silly if we all wanted to be the same thing tho huh I mean there'd be noone to shoot

In my defence M42s are much better for urban. My choice would have been M43s which are OD and great in woodland.

But those M42's do look cool!

After spending all my cash on US Airborne and putting so much time and effort in to making a Garand, it's Allied for me, but maybe I'll dust off the old suit again for a bit of resistance work.

You see what you need is eaither a maids outfit with a fat barman(I will do the honours if you insist) Or a trench coat and a black beret. And remember, I shall say this only once.

I really liked playing resistance actually.

My kit was cheap and it enabled a certain freedom to roam the site:

Thats what I thought about it, it would also have other uses for me being that I'd be reproducing some slacks that are about as easy to get hold of as hens teeth ;) will also give me something to do aside bothering you lot  def considering next chance to go for resistance

Is that it then the sum total of votes compared to membership of the forum :? Thought I'd peak on here due to the Morgs stating some of the allies had switched sides, but the numbers still aren't high eitherway compared to site member number :? wondering if by posting this some more people may see and vote ....... (not holding my breath tho :rasp: )
